The difference between bulk endocytosis and receptor-mediated endocytosis.
Introduction:
When a substance or molecule is required to be transported actively in bulk inside the cell, a portion of the cell membrane folds around the desired particle and engulfs it. These membrane-enclosed sacs are known as vesicles and this process is known as endocytosis. This process requires energy in the form of ATP (adenosine triphosphate).
