Ignoring air resistance and the little friction from the plastic tube, the magnet was a freely-falling object in each trial. If a freely-falling object is traveling twice as fast after it has fallen 40 m than after falling 10 m, what do you predict the maximum emf would be if you drop the magnet through the same coil from a height of 40 cm?
40 cm would have a lower emf value than 40 m. How?
Please explain in terms of Faraday's law or any other applicable equations. Is there a relationship between variables?
A motor vehicle generates electrical power using an alternator, which employs electromagnetic induction to convert mechanicalenergy to electrical energy. The alternator acts as a dc generator. The alternator maintains and replenishes charge on thecar’s battery and operates headlights, radiator fans, windshield wipers, power windows, computer systems, sensors, sound systems, and othercomponents A car’s alternator supplies an average emf of 14 V as emf induced in a sequence of stator coils in the presence of a magnetic field created by rotor coil electromagnets turned by a pulley system. A stator coil may have 42 windings and a cross-sectional diameter of 5.0 cm, and it rotates at 400 Hz. Estimate the strength of the magnetic field generated by a rotor coil.

- Exp. No. Stator Voltage Control of an Induction Motor using PWM The objective: The objective of this experiment is to present the voltage control of induction motor. The theory: Stator Voltage Control is a method used to control the speed of Fan laad an Induction Motor. The speed of a three phase induction motor can be varied by varying the supply voltage. n na n Speed n As we already know that the torque developed is proportional to the square of the supply voltage and the slip at the maximum torque is independent of the supply voltage. The variation in the supply voltage does not alter the synchronous speed of the motor. Soo Procedure: 1.
