Question
Chapter 9, Problem 8RA
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The action of drug atropine with respect to its blocking action in the parasympathetic system.Â
Introduction:
There are various neurotransmitters released by the neurons in order to exert different effects on the target cell. These effects depend upon the receptors present in the target cell. The blockage of the receptors in the target cell can alter the effect of the neurotransmitter. This can be used in the treatement of several medical conditions. The atropine can block the muscarinic cholinergic receptors.
