Question
Chapter 5, Problem 29CP
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The term that describes the combination of fibrin clots, fibroblasts, and the extensive network of capillaries in the healing tissue.
Concept introduction:
The healing process involves the regeneration of the cells in the injured tissue. The blood contains many clotting factors, which help in the clotting of the blood like fibrinogen and thrombin. The clotting of the blood involves the accumulation of these factors at the site of the injury leading to the formation of thin threads. The red blood cells reach the site of the injury by squeezing out through the blood vessel endothelial cells lining.
