Introduction:
Chemical synapses are specific junctions of the nervous system, non-neuronal cells like muscles or glands. Synapses located between the neurons can be either excitatory or inhibitory. It comes down to the released neurotransmitter. In a neuron when every time an action potential is triggered then the cell will secrete the types of neurotransmitter present in it.
