Question
Chapter 38, Problem 5WIO
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The term “ecosystem services”, enlist some important ecosystem services.
Concept introduction:
Ecosystem services means “the benefit people take from ecosystem” ecosystem service is composed of four things: supporting, provisioning, regulating and cultural services. Supporting services include nutrient recycling and soil formation; provisioning services include raw materials, food, energy, medicinal source. The regulating services include climate regulation purification of water; cultural services include recreational experiences spiritual and historical use of nature.

What are ecosystem services? Give several examples.Describe how some economists have tried to assign monetaryvalues to ecosystem services.
Submit your project researching an ecosystem you would find in your state. You may submit a poster, presentation, link to your created website, or other document. Be sure to include the following: • Describe at least ten biotic factors found in the ecosystem and at least ten abiotic factors. • Give at least two examples of food chains that could be found in the ecosystem.
