Introduction:

Digestion is the process that grinds the food and chemically breaks it down for easy absorption and elimination. The digestive system consists of series of compartments in which the processing of food takes place. Digestive system organs are present in a long tube called gastrointestinal tract. It hydrolyzes macromolecules which can be carbohydrates, proteins, and fats present in the food into their respective subunit molecule form and absorb these subunit molecules and eliminate the waste.
