Plants are those organisms that are capable of making their own food by photosynthesize. They have green pigments called chlorophyll. This pigment is capable of trapping sunlight. By the help of this pigment plants trap the solar energy and prepare food. They have structure called roots by help of which plants are capable of absorbing water and minerals from the soil.
