Draw a number line on which the tick marks are whole numbers. Now show how to zoom in on smaller and smaller portions of the number line (as in Figure 1.22 and Class Activity 1F, part 1) until you have zoomed in to a portion of the number line in which the long tick marks are thousandths. (You may choose which portions of the number line to zoom in on, but of course, your examples should be different from others you have seen.)
