Question
Chapter 1.2, Problem 2TYK
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Taxonomy is the branch of biology that deals in the grouping of species according to their evolutionary relatedness to other species. Carolus Linnaeus developed a system of classification called the taxonomic hierarchy. Accordingly, each species is placed into a domain, kingdom, phylum, class, order, family and genus. These are called taxonomic ranks. The domain is the broadest and species is the narrowest taxon (a group of organisms that are classified as a unit).
