Question
Chapter 11, Problem 2CYU
Summary Introduction
To review:
The overall effect on action potential when a drug inhibits the K+ (potassium ions) channels.
Introduction:
The sequential depolarization and repolarization of a cell contribute toward an action potential, which is primarily governed by two voltage-gated channels, namely, K+ channels/potassium ion channels and Na+ channels/sodium ion channels. The opening and closing of these channels determine the precise state of cellular excitability.
