Introduction:
There are certain alleles, which are neither recessive nor dominant and some of the genes also have more than 2 alleles. There are some traits that are even affected by more than a single pair of genes and the environment. These all are thus, beyond the laws of Mendel. Multiple allelic traits are one of the cases. ABO blood grouping is an example of the multiple allelic traits.
