What is a microbiome?
To describe: A microbiome.
Introduction: Microbiology refers to the study of microbes such as bacteria, viruses, protozoa, archaea, and fungi. These microbes are acellular or unicellular or multicellular, and they are much important in the day-to-day life.
Explanation of Solution
A collection of all microbes that reside in all surfaces, including the body of a human, is called a microbiome. Microbiome includes bacteria, viruses, protozoa, archaea, and fungi. It is an exciting new field of microbiology. Researchers have found out that microbiomes are responsible for the cause of certain diseases, such as migraines and asthma. These microbiomes have an effect on many things in the human body. The microbiome types or their population varies between individuals. Microbiomes are found in various regions of the body, such as the skin, conjunctiva, gut, lung, urethra, vagina, placenta, biliary tract, and uterus.
