This article investigates the relationship between hope, and productivity under the mediation of trust, and the moderation of work passion. The said relationships were tested under the componential theory to gain a practical understanding of the psychological, and workplace-related creative mechanisms between the dyad of the boss, and the subordinate. The data was collected from 408 sets of the boss-subordinate dyad across the research and development (R&D) section of reputed information technology firms in Pakistan. The analyses were completed through the partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) technique by using Smart PLS. The results revealed the positive impact of hope on productivity, and the partial mediation of trust was established between the relationship of hope and productivity. Moreover, work passion was proven as a moderator to strengthen the relationship between hope and productivity
