Section 3 - Country Profile of Trinidad and Tobago outlining the  Country demographics, culture, labor force in relation to the Dominoes   The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is situated in the southern Caribbean,  between the islands of Grenada and Venezuela. The twin islands obtained independence  from Britain on August 31, 1962, but instead of settling for being an independent nation,  they became a republic on August 1, 1976. The twin island republic is known for being  one of the most distinguished islands in the region due to its production and processing of  natural gas and petroleum.  Diversity in a modern society accepts the intricate nature of variations in traits  among the workforce. Therefore, in order to successfully examine the diverse nature of  diversity, an organization's as well as the population's demographics must be examined.  The manual will focus on the increasingly aging population as well as those with physical  impairments, as well as the potential advantages of including these groups in the  workforce of Trinidad and Tobago and, by extension, the workforce of Dominos in  Trinidad & Tobago.  The island is rich in culture and well-known for its diversity amongst its people  after being colonized by the French, Spanish, and British, as well as African slaves  brought to the Caribbean region (Oxford Business Group, 2022).  8 According to the most recent United Nations figures, the current population of  Trinidad and Tobago is approximately 1,406,594 with an ethnic composition of African  and Indian ethnic groups, with Africans being primarily Christian and the Indians being  mostly Hindu (World Population Review, 2022). Estimates show that there are 40 percent  black people, 40.3 percent East Indian people, 18 percent mixed people, 0.6 percent white  people, and 1.2 percent Chinese and other people (National Encyclopedia, 2022).  The development of Trinidad and Tobago culture has been impacted by a wide  range of cultures which has a significant effect on the twin island’s culture. According to  Nag (2017), the twin sland state's predominant religious groups are Roman Catholics,  Hindus, and Islam, while Anglicans, Jews, Buddhists, Presbyterians, Methodists, as well  as the Traditional African Religion, Taoism, and others are among the country's minor  religious groups. The Spiritual Baptist, Yoruba/Orisha faith, and two Afro-Caribbean  syncretic faiths are the fastest growing religious groups in Trinidad and Tobago.  The nation's culture has been greatly influenced by its ties to the United Kingdom,  and English is commonly spoken throughout. Additionally, there are clear distinctions  between Trinidad and Tobago's histories and cultures, as well as geographical variations  within the nation (Nag, 2015). With their mixed inhabitants they get to celebrate different  aspects of each group's culture and heritage. Some of these celebrations are diwali,  carnival, and holi as there are a variety of people on the island.  These celebrations are an  extension of the different religious groups that dominate the island.
