So I’ve been comparing the Xbox One and Playstation 4. It is usually quite a task to compare consoles, since sometimes it is usually the player’s choice for which console they like. But sometimes there can be little things that bug people. Even smaller things. But sometimes certain things are what some people go to the console for.
The first thing people seem to ask is how much is Xbox Live Gold and Playstation Plus. And Playstation Plus is $10 less, but in a sense, they’re both the same. Both have exclusive deals for certain games every month, but Playstation Plus can let you buy some free games (I got the Walking Dead Season 2 (game) for free).
But a real deal breaking is the exclusive game library. Playstation has games like Uncharted, God
All you really need to know is that both the PS4 and the Xbox One represent a significant leap over their predecessors. Some people in the industry are suggesting that the Xbox One and PlayStation 4
People think that playstation is better than xbox. Some people believe this because it is slimmer and it has exclusive playstation only games. These people are wrong because xbox is cheaper and has some computer games and they are adding more. Plus, they are as cheap as on the computer. Also, xbox has a better graphics card.
“The PS4, for instance, has a larger and faster graphics processing unit than the Xbox One (its peak GPU shader throughput hits 1.84 teraflops per second while the Xbox One manages 1.31). Likewise, Sony's console has more advanced RAM (5500MHz GDDR5 versus the Xbox One's 2133MHz DDR3)” (Leaño). This allows the PS4 to run the games at just a hair higher quality. Not a big deal overall as the difference is not noticeable unless you put them side by side. On top of that, the One has a far more intuitive Operating System (OS) than the PS4. The OS on the One allows it to run apps in the background or use the snap feature on most apps to have it alongside your game or current window. How is this useful? First of all, you can use the snap feature to watch your favorite shows or have a GameFAQs page open on the side. Want to Skype your friends or play music in the background? No problem, because the Xbox can multitask and will leave those apps running back there! Your multitasking options are wide open and simpler than ever now that you can do it all without leaving the
The topic for my essay is Xbox One is better than Playstation 4. The three reasons are the interface and software is better, exclusive games, and its versatility. These are the top three reasons I think Xbox one is better than the Playstation 4.
Xbox has many more features than other consoles. In many different ways it can be cheaper than let's say the PS4. The Xbox is very easy to learn about how to use it. Many people use it to just watch movies or Netflix. Many apps are free on Xbox and if some cost money, then they will have a free trial! There are different platforms that you can play Xbox on. Xbox also has many more games you can play right now! Also more are being added every day. There are so many reasons why Xbox is clearly better.
The release of the next-generation gaming consoles has left the gaming industry is in frenzy. With so much demand for the consoles it feels as though people are ready to give away their legs to get either the PlayStation 4 or the X-Box One. With two of these monstrous gaming devices available, the decision to just choose just one console seems to be, for some, a life and death decision. Many people, as a result of not conducting the proper research, fail to realize how easy of a decision this is. In this much anticipated console race, the PlayStation 4 has a clear advantage over the X-box One and as a result, it is the console that consumers should look to buy.

According to Alex Cranz from Gizmodo.com, Xbox One X also has plenty of exclusive console titles like Battlegrounds, Cuphead, and Life is Strange: Before the Storm. The new console from Microsoft is also smaller compared to the original Xbox One and Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro.
In terms of the product itself, Xbox One has many features that it can use to its advantage in distinguishing itself from other gaming systems, as well aiding its ability to attract many customers. For example, the Xbox has many apps such as Netflix, Google, and ESPN, which the console owner can use whenever they want (even during the middle of a gaming session). Cable and Satellite television services can even be connected through the Xbox in order to enhance the consumers’ experiences and to create an all in one system. Additionally, the Xbox brand is known for many of the great games only offered with the Xbox experience, making it a more alluring choice.
Microsoft introduced the new console (Xbox 360) one year before Sony, the industry leader, unleashed the PS3. Microsoft with the first mover advantage built a large customer base and has the largest library of games. The PS3 console has the best raw power and blue-ray capabilities. Nintendo, although with the less advanced console (Nintendo Wii), has successfully distinguished itself from their competitors with an innovative controller whith motion-sensor capabilities.
Nintendo appears to have implemented a market-penetration pricing strategy. The Wii at a cost of $250 is 50% less than the 20-gigabyte PS3 (smaller hard drive machine). At this lower price, it is easier for the product to penetrate the market due to affordability in most segments. This aligns with the assumed company’s aim of maximising market share in the current and new segments. To achieve this, Nintendo ensured that the Wii was less costly to manufacture. Moreover, a higher sales volume may lead to lower unit costs and higher long run profits. Conversely, Sony is believed to have a market-skimming pricing strategy. The company invested $2 billion in technology, so this strategy aims at recovering the maximum amount of revenue to cover the high costs incurred in the early stages of the product life cycle. Additionally, Sony has a strong brand due to the success of their previous machines (PS2 and playstation) and the high price assists in communicating the image of a superior product with quality.
