As a coach roles and responsibilities can affect performance massively. If a coach is on the side line shouting at the referee it will give a bad example of how to treat the match officials that have given up there Sundays so that your matches can be played. The players may also become more focused on the refs game than their own, this means they will not be performing to the best of their ability. The manger must teach the players that the ref’s decision is the final decision and he is controlling the game so he deserves respect. The coach should also teach himself that if the referee makes a decision he doesn’t agree with, he must accept it and move on. This will mean he can get a rough idea on their strengths and weaknesses. This could mean that they have to adapt their game to possibly counteract the opposition’s strengths. For example some teams change their strategies against bigger teams so they play more defensive and counter attacking football.
If a sports coach doesn’t manage and plan fixtures they might not be ready for the matches. If the players don’t know when the fixtures are they might not be available for them, leading to a lack of players for the games and then consequently making you have to forfeit games. If the coach does manage and plan fixtures then the team should be available for every game therefore increasing the chance of winning.
A coach should be well organised and sessions set up with a clear objective in mind. If he has all of this then his session will be more efficient and run more smoothly. If the training session is well organised in time slots it means that he will have a rough idea of how long the session he will have and whether he can adapt it in
