But Santa added a little twist when it came his turn. The table not only moved, but switched ends in mid air. “Good,” Sly said, “Very good.” “Now please return to you seats at the table. Standing Sly looked at each one then sit down on their stools. “Gentlemen,” he said. “You have been taught this way to move things for only one reason." "And that is to help deliver presents on Christmas Eve.” It cannot be used to entertain others or to better position yourself." “You will be limited to using it only with the ok from Santa or myself.” “the power is to be used to to move obstacles that may block the way for Santa, and or the sleigh.” “For instance, instance if a tree limb is in the way of a safe landing move it.” If you have to move part …show more content…
From there the group went to standing on a pile of lumber in the storage yard. Next they went to the small space between the factory and the music room. A quick trip to a park bench on the village square, then back to the lab “I think now would be a good time for us to have a cup of hot tea to warm our bodies.” “OK, everyone think of the little cafe next to the factory." Got it?” “Now left finger to the nose, breathe out,” they were gone. A few twinkles of light appeared next to the counter inside the cafe, Santa, Sly and the elves appeared. Looking up, the girl behind the counter looked at the wizard and said, "Ho it's you." "Why don’t you just walk in the door like every one else?" “And a good morning to you to my little ray of sunshine,” The wizard said, as he made his way to one of the tables near the window.
“Let’s set over here,” Sylvester said, pointing to a table away from the door. "You want your usual?” she asked, looking at the wizard. "Please" he said as he took his seat. “How about you guys,” she grumbled as the other sat down. “We’ll each have a cup of tea with cream and sugar on the side." Santa said as he took his
Since 2012, I have moved 3 times. The first move was definitely the hardest of all the moves. My entire life was turned upside down right before high school. I was happy to move, but it was a complete change. I had to relearn how to live, and I suddenly had to be the one to care for my younger siblings.
One night, Santa Clause was delivering gifts at an orphanage. One of the toddlers at the orphanage wakes up and climbs out of his crib. “BANG” he fell on the ground and started to crawl towards Santa Clause gift sack. Buddy starts his journey once he got into Santa’s gift sack. Santa did not realize that a toddler snuck into his gift sack. Santa arrives back to The North Pole, and the elves and him hear something moving in the sack. A second later a baby crawls out of the gift sack. Santa and the elves were in shock when they saw the baby. The baby’s name is on the baby’s
Fourteen days, four hours, and exactly forty-one minutes till Santa will be traveling around the world making everyone’s next morning full of joy. As I am aware, this is an exciting time year for elves. Many create the toys that will be unwrapped while others have the great pleasure of baking cookies, taking care of Santa’s reindeer, and of course the hardest job of all, working to read different letters from various of children around the world. Figuring that you are currently reading my letter, I know that you probably have piles of letter embroidered with name of the place all kids think about: to the north pole. Inside most of these letters, I know from writing a few myself, that many kids are asking the either one of two questions: “I’m I on the naughty list” or in other letters there are variations of “May I pretty please with a cherry on top get ____ for christmas”. However, today I am not writing about these main topics, I am writing you this to you in hopes that I can be enlightened of the magic of passion and creativity that you are so lucky to be surrounded by everyday. Moreover, you may be pondering this and wonder why I would be asking for a request such as this. I have just finished a semester of a passions within a creativity class and was hoping to share with you what I learned and hope to hear what your perspective may be. So, my current intention throughout the rest of this letter to show you something new
It takes much strength to do what they do to help Santa get presents to me and to you! So, Merry Christmas to all people, and Brownies and Elves, and to all those who think more of others than they do of themselves. “Merry Christmas,” from all the Brownies, who asked me to say, “Let Christmas live in your hearts every day!”
Santa and the elf named Sylvester, the village wizard, had just completed trying out and approving the new, hold everything, toy bag. Sly, Santa, the tailor, and some other elves loaded and unloaded the bag several times. Each time they had the same success as before, it worked great.
10. The Ghost of Christmas Present carries a torch in the shape of the Horn of Plenty and when he sprinkles the magic within the torch on the people he watches, they are filled with the kindness and cheer that is associated with
However, the author sprinkles the information in with fun scenes and a touch of mystery here and there so as not to overwhelm the reader. The reader gets the pleasure of learning the workings right along with Noel and the new Santa. Most would not consider this book to be very suspenseful or action-packed, but I can honestly say I looked forward to reading more, nonetheless. One of my favorite scenes is when the new Santa’s dog Brandy gets to playing with the reindeer. I can just imagine a dog trying to play with flying reindeer. The scene brought a smile to my
The Ghost of Christmas Present came to teach Scrooge about how much he misses out on every Christmas season, and what the true meaning of Christmas really is. Because Present is the merriest and friendliest of all the spirits, he makes the biggest impact on scrooge because he is kind to Scrooge though no one else has been for so many years. Present takes Scrooge to Bob Cratchit’s house which teaches him a very important lesson. As he watches them he realizes how much love the Cratchit family has for one another, especially Tiny Tim because he is very ill, but yet still so kind and loving. Not only does Scrooge see how much love and joy Christmas brings, he also gets a glimpse of how others see him through these visions of Christmas present. The second place Present takes him is to his nephew, Fred’s, house. Fred and his guests begin talking about Scrooge while playing a game called “Yes or No” where Fred thinks of something for the others to guess. After many questions, they find out the thing Fred was thinking of was an animal that grunts and growls, which turned out to be Scrooge. The guests begin condemning Scrooge, but this is what Fred says about him, “He’s a comical old fellow, that’s the truth: and not so pleasant as he might be. However, his offenses carry their own punishments, and I have nothing to say against him.” What Fred means by this is that despite Scrooge’s attitude towards Christmas and towards others, he feels sorry
No matter how old I get, I still can’t sleep on Christmas Eve. As a child, my brother and I would be ushered off to bed early, just to lie there with heavy eyes. We would try so hard to catch a glimpse of Santa Claus. Growing up we are all imprinted with the idea of a portly man in a red suit coming down our chimney to deposit gifts under our tree; that is, if you made the nice list. This ideology is a hundred and fifty year old tradition that encourages a child to believe in a fabricated being in exchange for a reward. As much as our parents try to shelter us from the truth, it is inevitable that we will discover that our beloved Santa is nothing more than a fable. As a child our naivety is attributed to our innocence, but as adults, there is a myriad of information out there for the taking.
It was Christmas Eve at the Stahlbaum house and it was attended by all the townspeople. Soon the party grew as the guest began to arrive.
Sara nudged him as Santa turned away to follow Becky, the office manager who could have been Audrey Hepburn’s twin. They
“Where’s dad?” “Speak of the devil.” He walked in and popped a sweet and sour chicken in his mouth. “Sit and eat.” Mom firmly instructed. I took a seat as mom passed out food, loading up our plates as we discussed our day, just like we always have done ever since I can remember.
Jackson just snorted, pulling his wallet out of his back pocket and handing it to his boyfriend. “Don’t let him know how much money you have.” He reminded him. Scott fought the urge to roll his eyes before standing up from his lunch table. A sigh came from his lips, making his way to the bleachers.
IT was Christmas Eve. Marya had long been snoring on the stove; all the paraffin in the little lamp had burnt out, but Fyodor Nilov still sat at work. He would long ago have flung aside his work and gone out into the street, but a customer from Kolokolny Lane, who had a fortnight before ordered some boots, had been in the previous day, had abused him roundly, and had ordered him to finish the boots at once before the morning service. "It 's a convict 's life!" Fyodor grumbled as he worked. "Some people have been asleep long ago, others are enjoying themselves, while you sit here like some Cain and sew for the devil knows whom. . . ." To save himself from accidentally falling asleep, he kept
In recent years a new idea was introduced around Christmas, Elf on the Shelf. This idea came from a book that was published about elf that was sent from the North Pole to watch over children to make sure they were being nice and not naughty. The family names their elf when they adopt it and that is how they get their magic. The idea is that the scout elf watches over the family during the day and then when they go to bed the elf returns back to the North Pole to report to Santa. Before the family wakes up each morning, the scout elf flies back from the North Pole and hides somewhere in the house. By hiding in a new spot each morning around the house, the scout elf and the family play an on-going game of hide and seek. Children however are not supposed to touch the elf or it is
