Personal Statement
Growing up in a business background where my family had been in the international trade business for the last hundred years, I was always amazed to see how data science gradually involved in our family business. I have also gained insight into the data science tools and how data science improved our business decision-making and performance. During the past three years, I have found my post-graduation in Marketing and Finance comes out to support my success on my professional career path, where I experienced various school projects on the real expanse of marketing and developed my analytical skills. Moreover, studying Marketing, Finance, Statistics and Mathematics has evolved my analytical thinking, logical reasoning and decision making skills and incited me to delve further into the data science field.
Continuing my interest in marketing, I applied Marketing Internship in May 2012 with Chinatex Corporation. While interning, I was responsible for conducting research competition in cotton and textile industry, as well as working with the Marketing Department to conduct a large-scale qualitative analysis on client profiles. This experience with a multitude of practices has helped me evaluate and understand my own strengths. Moreover, it has definitely given me an edge and has advanced my skills in statistical analysis.
Though over the past nine months I have been working in client experience management and business development field, I have developed a keen
I have had work experience in customer service jobs giving me skills, and the ability to work with different types of people in many situations. With given a choice of what to write this paper, I could not get past the subtle nature of who we are as God’s creations. This fundamental truth of our identity is simplified with the truth of our identity in Jesus. We are created in God’s image with a purpose here on earth to display all of God’s greatness, His beauty, and to reveal all of His character aspects. Best of all, we are completely dependent on God. This new enlightenment of my identity in Christ as God’s creation will allow me to help people around the world become one with Christ by revealing the truth of their identity.
Based on my interests, I will be applying to the Rutgers University Business School. My transcript, academic interests, and extracurricular involvement reflect a diverse scholastic experience. RBS is the ideal institute to enrich my academic prowess, allowing me to differentiate myself in an increasingly diversifying global economy.
During the summer of my junior year in high school I found I had a genetic kidney disorder called Alport syndrome. The doctor informed my family that while it wasn’t curable, we could slow the onset through precautionary measures. Thus, began my weekly doctor visits. These visits became a drain on my teenage self-esteem and a constant reminder of my defect. However, thanks to the support of my friends and family, I somehow maintained good standing in school and continued onwards.
I am interested in business not only because of exposure to career fields my family has chosen (marketing, sales, accounting) but in addition to how fundamentally business has stayed the same for centuries. While technology is always changing, balance sheet, profit and loss statements have been around for centuries. Due to this, I see an opportunity to learn skills from the Business Magnet program that will not become obsolete but rather create building blocks that I can build off of when I attend post secondary schooling. While in the meantime, I can use these skills in my many business ventures that I currently partake in.
“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest,” once said by Benjamin Franklin, is a quote that is very important to me. If educational opportunities are taken seriously, the knowledge gained is invaluable. Throughout my years at Darlington High School, I have been very focused on my college education, including being a part of the Youth Options program at the University of Wisconsin - Platteville.
You know that time when your parents start making you pay for your own stuff? Well, I have reached that time, and so what do I do? The obvious answer is to get a job. So I walked over to the outlets across from my house, and started asking for job applications. After all the application and interview process, I landed with a job at G.H. Bass & Co, a retail store that’s devoted to selling shoes. I become a sale associate, but it wasn’t until after I fully explored and learned about the logos, pathos, and ethos, did I entirely immerse myself into the discourse community.
My guidance strategy is to use is a corrective consequences with Sam. I will start with using a logical consequence when Sam first hits his classmate for not getting a toy. When I see Sam first hit his classmate I will go over to him get on his eye level and explain to Sam that we do not hit and if he continues to hit he will have to have to take a timeout during playtime. I will also give Sam a chance to explain himself as well. I will be clear about what is expected from him. I will not use an offensive tone with Sam.(put in book info) I want him to fully understand me so there is no confusion. The second time I see him hit his classmate I will follow through with the punishment of being sent to timeout and losing play time. I will again

While pursuing a major in public administration for undergraduate study, I have gained intensive training on data analysis by applying quantitative methods in core courses such as Applied Statistics, Public Policy Analysis, and Operations Research. I have also taken a double major in economics to cultivate my economic thinking. I’ve selected marketing-related courses to acquire basic marketing knowledge. Many diverse experiences have helped to shape my professional marketing career. These positions range from promoting Broadway shows, to marketing at the global children's entertainment brand Pokémon, and managing a girl’s brand called My Princess Academy. While my professional experiences have provided me with a strong real world foundation, I feel that in order to pursue my goal of managing a major entertainment brand, I require the knowledge and training afforded by an MBA program. I am confident that my professional experiences coupled with an MBA will help me achieve a vibrant career in marketing management.
