Have you ever fought so hard throughout an obstacle you thought maybe you had made the wrong choices, or weren't good enough only to find out in the end the importance of overcoming that obstacle helped you in more ways than ever before? Many people who we classify as greats, saints or leaders have had to go through bumps to get that reputation that we know of now. Thomas Edison created the lightbulb, the struggles this man went through in order to make this advancement in our society were extreme. These obstacles were needed because it was very important that he put his knowledge into being able to create the lightbulb, if he would have given up when the first issue popped up, our society wouldn't be where it is today. In the past voting has also been an issue, from women not being able to vote to any person with african american decent not being able to vote. These people had to overcome all obstacles in order to have the ability to vote, the importance of this is the fact that not everyone has the ability to have their voice. Overcoming Obstacles Obstacles are inevitable and show up in the daily lives of everyone. It is, however, the way one manages these obstacles that will decide how much success and accomplishments they receive. Challenges may come up, but they can be controlled by persistence, ambition, and determination. Someone’s dream and the specific challenges may be different than those in this poem, but the message can apply to anyone. Consequently, African American weren't allowed to sit in front of the bus or they had to give up their seat ,but Rosa Parks refused to sacrifice her seat on the bus and was stating she didn't want to sacrifice a seat she had paid for. This affected Rosa Parks because she was immediately arrested since she wouldn't give up her seat. As a result, Rosa Parks and her people worked hard for their equality and desegregation. The human race is faced with obstacles daily, it's how we handle the situation that determines the outcome. The many obstacles we face such as a teen pregnancy, losing a friend, and getting laid off can be hard to see the good outcomes for such horrid obstacles but in the end, the outcomes that were thrown your way may have been the best thing that's ever happened.

Life isn't always fairy tales and happy endings. It can deliver obstacles that strike like punches. These challenges are supposed to prepare us for whatever may come and help us develop along the way. I know that this kind of development is important but, it is not easy. My obstacles have definitely started to shape and create the person I am today and who I will become.
Obstacles and conflicts are what help shape and mold a person. There are small problems that can be kicked to the curb but some so large that it shakes one’s entire core. I have had my share of small and large obstacles in my life so far, but the most difficult one was to overcome having to grow up learning how be independent at a very young age. My parents divorced when I was three and my mother was left alone having to provide for the family. Since my mother was now the only one providing for the family she had to get a job out of state and leave me behind. Lucky my grandmother were there for my mom and helped her out by taking me in.
