3. My group had an instance of functional which was to work together to achieve the assignment. We had to pick four out of eight people, and all of eight people would die very soon if they did not have another heart. After reading the assignment sheets, we could pick two people immediately, Peter and Thomas, who were young boys. We had a lot of opinions about picking the other two. For me, I would pick Father and Donna base on what I read. However, after spending about ten minutes to discuss with my group, we all had agreement for Father and Mike. Even though I picked Donna instead of Mike, the other members shared their opinions and analyzed the information; so finally, I agreed to pick Father and Mike. At first, each of us had different choice
By completing the interest survey, I felt in the position of a student: to have to think on unusual things and understand that they are part of who I am. I realized that I could know a bit more about me. I learned about my favorite food and my favorite singer, which are different from 10 years ago.
We needed an individual who had the skill set(s) to teach computer skills to both adults and youth and help them use those skills to advance further in their academic or employment pursuits (Computer Instructor). We need interns that can assist students with their homework and preparing them for the ACT or SAT examination, which could determine where they would, admitted into college (Educational Consultant).
In the beginning, Jake at first is nervous and frustrated that Amy is late. Which is a lack of commitment from Amy's side, and Jake is just feeling the effects of it. When Amy does get there, Jake starts to ask questions and is very aggressive about it; all the while he does not give her a chance to speak. This is another type of transgression, Jake is displaying problematic emotions while he is addressing Amy. Also while Jake is questioning Amy, she is acting suspiciously, and either trying to avoid the question or delaying the answer. Which does not help and actually makes the situation worse, between the two. Throughout the session they are both distant, no touching whatsoever and avoiding eye contact. Things do get pretty heated between the two, and Jake even pressured the counselor into revealing what his thoughts are; in which was unsatisfying to both of them.
The two bigger things I plan to continue working on with Aaron are his social skills and his anxiety. Together, him and I will continue working on positive social skills and how to interact with others. He is not one that enjoys role play. He would much rather just sit and talk. I would also like to keep working on art projects or any hands on project where he can write things down. This way, we are not just discussing out loud what to work on, but we are writing it down or drawing pictures which helps us to think about the things we are working on in other ways as well. It is one thing to talk about it, but it is another to draw pictures or write it down. His poor social skills and his grades create a lot of anxiety in his life, so I plan to keep working on different coping skills with him. He has informed me in the past that his favorite coping skills is counting to ten. We have been going over breathing and counting to ten when he is anxious. As of now, he needs a lot of reminders to breathe use a coping
There have been many things that I have learned this semester from knowing what type of graphic displays my data in the best way to how to calculate the location quotient. Probably what stuck the most was the difference between race and ethnicity and calculating projections. I was surprised how many times that topic came up after we learned that. I would explain the difference in my conversations and the majority of the people were surprised to find that there are only two ethnicities, which are Hispanic or Latino and Non-Hispanic or Latino. Now I know that the races are only white, Black or African American, Asian, American Indian and Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander. The only thing that I do not understand and probably
Amanda and Erica’s grades may differ for a variety of reasons. Studies show that the more academic activities a parent is involved in is significantly associated with their child having higher literacy achievement, lower rates of grade retention, and fewer years needing special education (Miedel & Reynolds, 2000). Amanda’s father’s income, education, and occupation also all correlate with her literacy abilities (Buckingham, Wheldall, & Beaman-Wheldall, 2013). Parental education has the strongest influence of the three (Buckingham, Wheldall, & Beaman-Wheldall, 2013).
During Round 1 of our 3-year WDQI grant, we were able to match workforce participants in the One Stop Management Information System (OSMIS) with students in Center for Education Performance Information’s (CEPI’s) databases, and then download their Unique Identification Code into the OSMIS system. From a 2-year group of education exiters, we were able to link their interactions within the Workforce Development Agency (WDA) and their wage record outcome data. We generated 24 reports designed to answer 7 Core Questions; 8 of the reports are available to the general public on mischooldata.org (Workforce section), and all 24 reports are being used by our partners in the Labor Market Information group to generate white papers, which will be completed by September 30, 2015. NOTE: The participants that we were able to link must have visited a Michigan Works! service center, which means the output data is biased and not reflective of the general population as a whole.
We all know that a company that can build trust and bring about a rewarding atmosphere of personal appreciation and contribution will develop workplace norms and behaviors that bring outstanding performance from its personnel. Of the companies on our list the ones chose to research were CHG Healthcare, Wegmans Food Markets and Google. All three of these organizations caught my attention for number reasons, but what got my attention the most and really made me choose them was how they value their employee’s and strive to satisfy their needs. Most of us strive provide the best way of life possible for our families. When searching for employment people
Karyss is a 2nd grade, who has repeated second. She will be turning 8 in August. She has an individualized education plan in place to support her writing and reading comprehension. As of April 29th, she started coming to for support with number sense, multiple step word problems and fact fluency. Her math grades have been three all quarter long. Cognitively, she has an even profile: General Conceptual Ability = 95 Average, Verbal = 96 Average, Nonverbal Reasoning = 96 Average, Spatial = 98 Average. Daniel emphasized how strict the entertainment departments budget were that I caused them to go over budget by not taking breaks and that from there on out I would be getting scheduled 28 hours a week. David changed my time sheet and added breaks on days that I did not take breaks. Daniel also stated that by the time I had replied to Davids missed time punch text that the time sheet was already sent in. I asked Daniel how this could be corrected and he told me he would have to check with HR but that I could just not clock out for 3 days. Daniel also asked me I meant by "I was doing lead work". I replied by telling him I lead my staff, performed closing lead duties; such as End of Day report, contacting guest services, reporting directly to
In monitoring my behavior, I will buy a calendar and a journal and write an X on everyday of the calendar in which I accomplished my scheduled time of sleep. In the journal, I will record what I did wrong on the days I didn’t accomplish the task of sleeping at the scheduled time. I will buy the calendar this weekend and I already have a journal. I will begin this plan at the same time I begin having a timer for my scheduled bed time which is on July 17th. A reward for this intention will be a record of all the calendars I’ve used in reaching this goal, it’ll show how far I’ve come.
In the year 2013, I started being my dad’s personal assistant for his own company. This has provided me with leadership skills. It has also helped me solved disputes between the owner and the clients. I listen to what the clients want and I try to help the owner and them come to an agreement about what has to be done. Especially doing everything in a good manner so the client is sacrifice with what they are getting. It is good to help solve the disputes that way the client knows that what they are getting is good quality material. Since he does not speak very fluent english I go with him to meet the clients whenever they ask for a translator. The first couple of times I went with him were very difficult for me because I was a very shy person.
The show that I used for this assignment was Friends. I felt that Joey played the role of the leader. When Ross told everyone he was moving, Joey was the first person to speak up about how he felt. He told the others they needed to do something to keep Ross from moving. He also went to Ross personally, and tried to convince him from following through with the move. I felt that Phoebe was the opinion giver. She kept informing the group that it was Ross' life and they should respect his decision. Whenever Joey would try to tell Ross how he felt, Phoebe would intervene to distract him. She also agreed when Ross got upset with the group. She told everyone it wasn't right to interfere with his life. With Joey taking the leader role, he helped the
For the remaining parameters, we needed a tree that would not lose its readability and still provide good results; therefore, we chose a maximum depth of 7, since increasing it did not improve the results significantly, and would have made it more difficult to extract the rules and observe the results. Regarding the maximum number of bins, the default value is 32. As our variables were all continuous we could choose a lower number of bins and the one that yielded best results was
