Born in Owensboro, Kentucky in 1963 to a waitress and a civil engineer, John Christopher Depp II was the youngest of four children. When he was young he'd visit his Pawpaw often, and happily recalls the sunny days of picking tobacco together. It was a terrible shock to the seven-year-old boy when Pawpaw died. After the death he and his family moved to Miramar, Florida, but the family spent a long time living in motels and was constantly shifting from place to place, well over a dozen motels in total. Johnny took this especially hard; he did not take to school and started to act out, once being suspended for mooning the gym teacher. By the time he was 12, he was smoking and very soon to came drinking and drugs, there was even petty theft …show more content…
He has been the world’s worst director who happens to have an angora fetish in Ed Wood, a topiary artist with a manicure that is deadlier than wolverine’s in Edward Scissorhands, and both a hardnosed prison guard and a drag queen prisoner, with truly amazing smuggling skills, in Before Night Falls: and this is just a short list of his amazing roles.
Next up for the young actor and a role on FOX’s new series 21 JUMPSTREET, at first he turned down the part. Depp thought it beneath him, or at least wrong for a serious artiste. But no one else was right for the part, so the producers asked Depp again and this time he took it. The show took off, with Depp as its most popular character. Very rapidly, he became a teen idol, worshipped for his looks, and was receiving 10,000 letters a month. From the start he did not like being a “Heart-throb” as he was dubbed by his largely female fans. He wanted out, but Depp was trapped.
Help came from Director John Waters who was looking for a real heartbreaker to star in his latest happily disgraceful enterprise, Cry-Baby. He did not think that Johnny Depp, one of the hottest young stars on TV, would have been so keen to lampoon himself. But, desperate to escape his new pretty-boy image he was, and signed on to star alongside Ricki Lake and Traci Lords. With his run at 21, Jump Street coming to an end, Depp took another swipe at his image by
The Outsiders written by S.E. Hinton is sold worldwide. This book sold more than 14 million copies. This hit has shown heroism throughout the book and readers never knew what was going to happen next. I personally think that a hero is Brave, Sticks up for Friends and Strangers, and also is willing to sacrifice his or her life for others. In The Outsiders Johnny best fits my personal description of a hero.
As a kid, Johnny Depp had a troublesome childhood. His father was continually searching for secure work in order to support his family, resulting in them moving around a lot, living in motels, shifting from place to place. This no doubt took a

In the book, Johnny Tremain, Esther Forbes shows accurately and successfully how challenging it was for the children during the Revolution. During the 1770’s before and during the Revolutionary war in American colonies, many children had a hard time and it is shown in Johnny Tremain. With lack of education because of not going to school and a low literacy rate many kids could only become a higher class by marriage or a great skill in a select craft. Along with having a great skill in a craft kids had to work either back-breaking jobs or an inconsistent job. Esther Forbes, author of Johnny Tremain, shows the challenges for kids living during the Revolutionary times through their education, class and job career.
As previously mentioned, his formal acting career was launched in 2005 in “Sandlot 2.” He followed that up with roles in the films “The Bondage,” “The Deaf Family” and “The Legend of the Mountain Man.” In addition to films, he

In the book The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, Johnny, a 16 year old boy greaser, is courageous. Johnny is courageous because he has bravery, honesty, and loyalty. Bravery describes Johnny because he went into a burning church to save little kids, honesty describes Johnny because he wanted to turn himself in so Ponyboy wouldn’t get in trouble with the police officers. Johnny also has loyalty and this describes him because he stood up for Cherry at the theatre. Johnny’s courage is displayed through his honesty.
Some may say he is intelligent, while others may say he is courageous. Big words are just insufficient to describe this actor/director/screen-writer/producer. More importantly,

Johnny’s internal issues are as equally grievous as his external issues. He practically raised his siblings since he was six years old, and started to work in factories when he was seven. Due to his early start transferring to adulthood, he never really had the chance to experience a jovial and enjoyable childhood. Johnny “had been robbed of a large part of that playtime by being compelled to take care of [his siblings] … he had fallen the part of little mother and father as well” (8). Johnny does not have any pleasurable memories to look back on and confirm that his upbringing readied him to steadily transition to adulthood. His mother is not a major help in his life, consequently making him uphold both roles of provider and supporter when it comes to his family. With no time for himself, it was evident in Johnny’s face that “there was no joyousness in him…
For the following analysis, I will be discussing the movie Fight Club's two main characters. They are "Jack" played by Edward Norton, and Tyler Durden played by Brad Pitt. However the twist to the movie turns out that Jack and Tyler are the same person and Tyler is Jack's real name. Tyler the character is everything that Jack the character is not. The story narration is provided by the protagonist of "Fight Club," "Jack." The ambivalent protagonist, who only refers to himself as "Jack." An ambivalent protagonist, usually the main character, is someone the audience likes, but who possesses character flaws.
In the first part, I will analyse a character from Blood Diamond and the casting of his actor.
