Is smoking a cigarette like aiming a smoking gun to your head? Absolutely, yes! The photo above, has a very powerful message to be shared with people all over the world. The creator of the picture above is, The American Cancer Society. This is an organization that is trying to heighten awareness of the dangers of smoking, the most threatening danger being, cancer. They also promote relays which help raise money for ads and research. The money raised helps to inform people of the dangers smoking and what the negative outcomes of such a habit. This society also helps with finding treatment options. They are helping people cope with the side effects of various cancers or to advise on health insurance. A certain population of people, particularly young people, see smoking as a cool or hip idea to fit in. The goal of this visual argument is to inform people who smoke cigarettes that they should just hold a gun to their heads. The American people should be against nonsmoking because of the feelings you get when smoking, the chemicals that are involved, and how the cigarette will kill like a loaded gun.

One think that I have noticed though is that you love your smokeless tobacco. Due to the efforts of tobacco companies seeking to increase their sales, people started smoking more and more often; the evolution of a more traditional pipe to a cigarette took some time, but eventually tobacco became more affordable and easier to use (you now simply need to light it up, instead of having to always carry a tobacco pouch, stuff a pipe, puff it, and so on). Drifting tobacco smoke can trigger asthma attacks, bronchial infections, and other serious health problems in nonsmokers. For the 100 million Americans who have asthma, chronic bronchitis, chronic sinusitis, emphysema, or other breathing related conditions, it makes them especially susceptible to secondhand tobacco smoke.

Tobacco is one of the most widely-used recreational drugs in the world; mainly in the form of cigarettes, but also in cigars and pipes, and in combination with cannabis and marijuana in 'joints'. Although most countries put age restrictions on its use, over a billion adults smoke tobacco legally every day, and supplying this demand is big business. As well as having serious health consequences for smokers themselves, the pollution of other people's atmospheres with cigarette smoke also makes this an environmental issue. Attitudes have changed rapidly over the past twenty years. In the developed world, public opinion has shifted against smoking.

A lot of people smoke, and somehow are comfortable doing it in public places. I’m not the one to be pointing any fingers, but I don’t think it’s in anyway nice to blow smoke in the air with other people around you. It’s very rude and inconsiderate. Smoking in general is disgusting, but if you choose to do that’s your personal choice. We’re all looking for something to fulfillment, and I believe that you can’t find that were a cancer stick in your mouth.

At some point in life, almost every person has heard phrases that sound something like, “smoking kills” or “be smart, don’t start”. For most people, these words go in one ear and out the other, but they would still agree with the statements if they were asked to share their opinion. People react this way because the awareness about tobacco being deadly has spread.

Smoking continues to be an unhealthy factor, yet in the past was accepted, even recommended by doctors. While this may be true, advertisements sell the idea that smoking is detrimental to one's health, even though the manufacturing of the electronic cigarette continues. The current problem for those who try and seek help, origins from the issue of finding the root of the problem. Smoking is a worldwide dilemma in which others find themselves looking for the foundation in order to pinpoint it and find a solution. Smokers need to understand the causes that make them want to continue smoking in order to prevent further addiction.

We all know what we want, we want a society that disapproves of smoking, a society that says no to smoking, a non-smoking society where people live a full life and don’t die from the brutality of smoking.

(Novartis Foundation,2009) I believe in order to improve the health of citizens and increase the population, cigarette smoking should be banned.

There are about 1.1 billion smokers around the globe and around 300 million of these smokers are in China, according to yes I know that website. This fact shows that there is a huge group of smokers around the earth and it is not a good news. Also the number of smokers is increasing every day specially between teens. Plus this increasing is effecting everyone on the globe. Also the number of deaths because of smoking is in growing. Nowadays, people are smoking every ware and they do not think about the people around them beside they are not thinking about their health’s to. Some people may claim that smoking is not such a bad habit and smoking should not be banned. However, smoking need to be banned because of it dangerous effects on the smoker and also it effects on the people who are around the smoking area.

Public smoking should be banned for many reasons, such as it being harmful to others through secondhand smoke, it is a great source of pollution and can increase the amount of littering, and it might cause others to smoke less, possibly resulting in putting an end to the addiction.

Then, people began to get sick; lung cancer, throat cancer, heart diseases, and many other diseases were linked to cigarette smoking. The signs and warnings were everywhere. In 1965, 52 years ago, cigarette cartons began to display warning messages to let smokers know of the danger of smoking. Despite this, the tobacco industry, the first known advertiser in the United States, continues to aggressively find ways to target, intellectually and emotionally with their advertisements, consumers. In 1965, Marlboro ran an ad with Paul Hornung (Green Bay halfback), promoting cigarette smoking, making it seem like the cool thing to do. The ad with Hornung uses the window effect, showing the picture of Hornung looking lay back and relax to make people aspire to become like him. Today, cigarettes have received a facelift, in a recent electronic cigarette ad (Ad two) it shows a woman in an appealing bikini, promoting “blu,” a rechargeable electronic cigarette. The ad makes the cigarette seem edgy, “safer,” and sexy. The “blu” ad uses a sexualized image of a woman which uses the window effect also because the ad makes it seem that if you align yourself with” blu” you can get a girl like her. Throughout the years, the tobacco industry has gone through a significant declined.

Though CVD might seem like a death sentence for many Americans, it does not have to be. Though there is no cure for CVD, there are plenty of ways for one to prevent or manage CVD. The biggest factor in everyone’s life that causes CVD is poor lifestyle. There are also a few medications and surgical procedures that can be administered or performed to keep one’s CVD in check.
