War, it’s a part of our lives. It has been in our past with fighting for independence in the Revolutionary War and new territory in the Mexican-American War. It has been in the present with the recent war in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Finally it will most certainly be in our future with the current situations bubbling in Syria containing the love hate relationships of not only Assad, the Rebels, and ISIS, but other world powers such as the U.S. and Russia. That is why when Edwin Starr writes in song “War” that, “War, huh, yeah/What is it good for/Absolutely nothing” I disagree. War is not only important because it is part of our past, present, and future, but it is also important because it is a tactic that works on getting things done in an economic and political standpoint as well as it allows

Soviet union wanted to spread communism. Communism is the property is owned by the community and each individual contributes and receives by its need. In my opinion the Soviet Union was primarily responsible for the war for wanting to spread communism.

During the cold war, containment was the first major policy in order to prevent the spread of communism in Europe and some parts of Asia. This began postwar, when the Soviet Union decided to extend communism to more countries. There were two blocs, one democratic, the other republican which had an impact on the Cuban Missile Crisis, Korean War, and Berlin Aircraft. These examples show the United states got involved and how containment was effective during these times.

The cold War is over but the influence of the Soviet Union is not and soviet union was a communist. The Soviet Union grew out of the Bolshevik revolution and civil war in 1917. Therefore it started after the Russian revolution in the early 1920s and lasted until 1991. However, three areas are most necessary to understand its cultural achievements. Its military strength and its political oppression.

War is a useless and a ferocious way to settle political problems between two nations that will only cause an infinite number of casualties and deaths. They give absolutely no advantage to both nations yet it is still being used so settle problems. They have existed ever since people realized how power can be important; however what they did not know is that if put in the wrong hands it can cause pain and misery to all the people involved.

For as far back as mankind dates back in it's existence, there has always been and always will be war. History all throughout the world holds numerous acts of war dating all the way back to the early years of civilization, up until even today's most recent problems. I believe war is a perfectly necessary action, especially when a hostile force makes unjustifiable attacks that put the safety of our country at jeopardy. This does not mean that every issue's solution has to be war. Simply, this means you deserve to be able to protect yourself against a bully. War, in all its forms, is tragic. International law was created to establish some basis of rules to abide by—including war—and states have signed on to such a contract. The actions of states in this ever globalizing world are difficult to be controlled. The source of international law operates through the hands of the United Nations. War in fact has been given a justification, though it is arguable whether or not the basis of the idea is correct. Wars can be just under certain conditions.

Defined as “a state of usually open and declared armed hostile conflict between states or nations” (Merriam-Webster)., war is a constant throughout history. Ancient civilizations declared war on one another for no other reason than for blood lust or greed. Even in the twentieth century, the world saw several bloody, destructive struggles, such as the World Wars, the Vietnam and Korean Conflicts, and the ongoing battle in Syria. Scholars debate the causes of wars such as these. But for the most part, war accomplishes nothing more than act as a way to display anger and displeasure at a government or country. Unless it is a fight for the freedom of the people, it is a pointless action of destruction and death.

Wars sometimes solve problems but, most of the time they create them. They create more problems than the war was fought over. Some wars solve more problems than others. Wars usually resolve a conflict between two or more countries, and that’s pretty much it. The problems they solve if any they are short term. If we can set up a peaceful system that supports everyone we might be able to solve our problems long-term. War is never the final answer to our problems, we think it is but it is really just a shortcut to put our long-term problems at bay.

Imagine a fiery barrage of artillery guns firing at the unit and hits a fellow soldier. Imagine leaving a friend behind in combat or telling a loved one or a friend he or she is dead. War isn’t glamorous. But instead of telling the sadden soul bad news, on the contrary soldiers substitute it, by saying the fallen soldier showed immense bravery for peace, to relieve the violence and suffering, for the country. Regardless of your opinion on war, historical evidence dictates that war has resolved disputes between nations, wherein winner of the war wins the dispute. Even though most would say that war only ends disputes because the loser dies, it has technically performed this function. Second, war generates a sense of social bonding within the societies at war. When people are faced with a common enemy, they unite with a shared purpose and become a greater force than any one alone could ever be. Over time, these other peoples forgot their heritage and conformed to the Roman way of life. Famous Prussian military theorist Karl von Clausewitz said that "war is the continuation of politics by other means." which supports the idea of war as a culturally influenced situation that is determined by the political power in control. War is a tool in the arsenal of a successful power to use when debating and non-violent persuasion fail to achieve the goals of the power.
