Argumentative Research Essay
What comes to mind when someone mentions global warming? I bet it isn’t how we can control it or how we go about fixing it to make a better life for not only us but for our children. Feeling guilty and concerned are a normal reaction to the global warming issues, but not caring is another really concerning fact in its self. I’m not saying that you must be full blown out there protesting and fighting to be proactive and care. If we don’t care or start caring now we won’t have a planet to call home anymore. If the ice caps all melted away and the atmospheric temp would drop it would be a catastrophic devastation

But wait a minute what is the government doing to help fix these problems and prevent it from reverting back to the way it was before. The big issues lie with the fossil fuels that we use for energy. Energy consist of power and gases that can be transferred into other objects. Even though we have cut the emission gases, gases from the greenhouse and carbon dioxide we can’t prove the right or wrong way to go about fixing the process. Numerous scientists presume that the public is accustomed to the science following the atmosphere and roughly people disagree or merely do not understand how the contribution of extreme CO2 excess could contribute to a shift in the global weather patterns. In Wilson’s book, The Future of Life he states, “we have driven atmospheric carbon dioxide to the highest levels in at least two hundred thousand years, unbalanced the nitrogen cycle, and contributed to a global warming that will ultimately be bad news everywhere.” (23) Does global warming affect the life forms on Earth? We’ll have you ever heard of the greenhouse effect, it’s the absorption of the energy that radiated from the Earth’s surface by carbon dioxide and other gases in the atmosphere, causing the atmosphere to become warmer. These greenhouse gases cause the temp to rise thus causing issues for life forms on Earth. If we cannot control or get a handle on
-Some may disagree with me because banning larger drinks will just make people buy more smaller sized drinks allowing them to take in more sugar and calories.
Everyone talks about climate change and how the Earth is slowly deteriorating, but no one seems to have specific examples. In Linnea Saukko’s “How to Poison the Earth,” she does use specific examples of what is causing climate change. She uses satire with a hint of sarcasm in her essay. She gives the reader specific examples of how to poison the Earth, but not really wanting to poison the Earth. Gretel Ehrlich writes her essay, “Chronicles of Ice,” a little differently. She uses personal experiences of visiting a glacier and the way that it is falling apart to explain climate change. She uses detailed, sensory description to explain
The Global Warming theory has become increasingly popular over the past few years. Citizens of the world are being encouraged to be more environmentally conscious by others including politicians, celebrities, and world organizations. The problem with the theory lies in the fact that it has become more and more controversial as it gains publicity and attention. The basic concept behind this theory is that the earth was made with a balance of “greenhouse gasses”. These gasses are naturally occurring within the atmosphere and they essentially make the planet habitable by keeping it warm.
We will be helping with the Thursday Night meal at the Highland Center on the 5th Thursday of each month for the rest of the year. The next 5th Thursday is July 30th. Stephanie Slack will be heading up our group as Ronney Joe will be out of town.
Christopher McCandless age twenty-two embarks on his greatest journey that will forever make him famous in his journey and death. There is the argument that Christopher was psychotic for going out into the Alaskan Wild so unprepared without any proper tools or materials. Also, Christopher should have told his parents where he was going so they would’ve known where to look for their son so he could be safer and might of had the chance to survive. What you have to understand that, Chris McCandless approached it the way he wanted to approached it because some say he is narcissistic and only does what he wants and it's true, he is but that isn't negative it's what he wants, and shouldn't we all be able to feel free to do whatever we wish. As the reader, you can pick the side you agree with and have your opinion on Chris. Christopher McCandless wasn't crazy or psychotic, but instead a true example of a person who did whatever he wanted to be filled with joy.
It is clear Ryerson University needs a better way to make education accessible to all their students. With the constant delays of the transit systems we have, and the rising costs to commute, students are skipping lectures. The best solution to this problem is starting VR enabled lectures. This will keep expenses low for students and save time that students struggle to find. VR enabled lectures are far superior to the alternative, which is living on campus. By living on campus expenses increase and you’re not in the comfort of your home. Also it is not guaranteed you will get approved to live on residence because of the limited beds available. Being a computer science students we already have the necessary knowledge to make this possible, as
Anyone would be hard-pressed to find a politician in recent years who has been elected to a national office without promising to improve education and focus their efforts on the betterment of their constituents’ children. Many of these politicians have succeeded at passing legislation to do so, but the latest of these, the Common Core standards initiative, is facing a very important query right now: does it work in America? Although Common Core is very well intentioned and in selective ways could be considered a success, there are many failures to consider as well. When dealing with such education, a vital issue, these failures must be dealt with. In order to ensure not only an equal education but also one of higher quality which the citizenry
In 1976, Congress passed the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) in response to a growing national concern about public exposure to toxic chemicals. Since then, it has largely been hailed as a failure for two reasons. First, TSCA has been unable to effectively compel producers to test and disclose adequate information on chemical toxicity. Second, it has been ineffective at designating sufficient resources to the EPA to identify and reduce the possible health and environmental risks associated with new chemicals. Nonetheless, it has been devoid of major revisions since its implementation. In the nearly 40 years of congressional inaction on this issue, many states have intervened by enacting stricter chemical laws that fill in TSCA’s gaps.
BRUNSWICK, OH- The ball glides down the alley striking the top pin causing them all to ripple down. Brunswick’s bowling team's season is coming to an end and for the seniors their jersey’s put to retirement. Some seniors will continue to play in college but for most their final game is almost here.
Sexual thoughts pop in and out of most people’s mind, but especially teenagers, and there’s nothing they can do about it. It is normal for teenage boys and girls to experience this, more than ever when they are hitting puberty. The hormones in the body begin to act up and teenagers want to experience other things on their own. Males begin to grow pubic and facial hairs, and their voice starts to deepen, while girls’ breasts begin to develop and their body begins to take shape. After hitting puberty, teenagers are now at the point where they want to experience things. ‚Don’t go out there and get pregnant‛ a mother

It is often assumed that failure is a deterrent to achievement. Rather, failure should be seen as a motivator for a person to keep trying until the objective or aim of a particular mission is fulfilled.
There is an issue on this planet that will define this generation. The issue is climate change. Global warming. A world on the collapse as our oceans are acidified, our air polluted, our forests disappearing, and human rights issues getting worse. It seems that people are not aware of how big climate change actually is. It’s not something that only takes place on the ice caps or in the forests on the far corners of the world. This is an issue that happens here, and now. It’s real. It’s happening.
Thesis Statement: Global warming is a growing concern of scientists and researchers who believe that it is a serious problem for our planet. The concerns and research have also been questioned and have even been called myths. Millions of people find themselves affected by these weather pattern changes and are concerned for their futures. Activists on both sides of the argument are very passionate and not afraid to attack each other in every way they can. There are many questions that are still not answered, however, we continue to see drastic weather changes to Earth. We must go beyond the arguments and learn as much as we can to stop what could possibly lead to the destruction of our planet, our way of life and our future.
