The Holocaust began in 1933 and ended 1945, was the reason three teenagers and five adults had to begin hiding in an Annex. While in hiding the relationships between the children and their parents weakened. Anne Frank’s relationship with her parents had some differences and similarities. Anne’s relationship with her mother and father were different. Anne’s relationship with her mother was difficult, while Anne’s relationship with her father was very close. They are both similar because they love Anne very much. Otto, her father, cares for Anne very much. Mr. Frank was completely loyal to Anne. Mr. Frank also protected her and took care of her in the Annex. Edith, her mother, cared for her also. Mrs. Frank tried to be the
Don’t you hate it when your family and strangers treat you in a harsh way. Anne Frank was treated harshly by some people in the secret annex people would yell at her call her spoiled lazy and was always telling her what to do. But some people treated her nicely like Peter VanDaan and her dad in a way that made her feel loved by some people around her. Anne was a twelve year old girl when she was forced into hiding because she was a Jew in Nazi territory during WW2. Anne is treated by the people in the annex in many ways and that effects her character in such a way that changes her character.
Mr. and Mrs. van Daan and their son Peter (who is a few years older than Anne) are also in hiding with the Franks. Anne’s adolescence is spent hidden from the outside world. She’s cooped up in tiny rooms, tiptoeing around during the day. After almost 2 years in hiding they are discovered and deported to concentration camps. Anne’s father, Otto Frank, is the only one of the eight people to survive. After her death Anne becomes world famous because of the diary she wrote while in hiding. Miep Gies is a Dutch woman who assists the annex residents with food, clothing, books, and companionship. She cheerfully assists them with the things they need and pitches in to give them holidays. Along with Elli, she retrieves and saves Anne's diary from the floor after the annex residents are arrested (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miep_Gies). Miep Gies and her husband took action and helped their Jewish friends. This situation affected their daily lives in many different ways. The fact that Miep and her husband helped the Jews, knowing that they
Over 6 million Jews died once Hitler came to power, an event that came to be known as the Holocaust. Adolf Hitler had grown up learning that Jews were bad. This is where we think he got the idea to blame them for Germany’s loss in World War 2. Anne Frank and 7 other Jewish people went into hiding shortly after Margot, Anne’s sister, got a letter asking her to report to a Jewish work camp. They were hiding for 25 months, until they were discovered on the 4th of August in 1944, everybody was arrested. Anne Frank is believed to have died from Typhus fever on March 12th, 1945, just 34 days before the Bergen-Belsen camp was liberated. The only survivor of the annex was Mr. Otto Frank. He returned to Amsterdam, June 3rd, 1945. Historical events that happened during the Holocaust can be proven to have affected the annex member’s mood and relationships in the drama, “Anne Frank.”
Anne Frank, a famous victim of the Holocaust, said this “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” Anne Frank was once a free woman in this world. She didn’t have to go into hiding, fear getting caught, or worse, possibly dying.

World War II was a problematic time in world history. It was difficult for the parents, families, and children. Anne Frank lived during the time of the Holocaust.
There were heroes in the Holocaust and then there were bystanders. It’s super easy to be a bystander however it’s super hard to be a hero. The people that were heroes were the people that stand up for what they believe in. Also, people who save others lives are heroes. Great Examples of Heroes are Anne Frank and Irena Sendler.
The Jews were forced into hidings and most were thrown in concentration camp, because the Nazis didn’t want the Jews in Germany. Before going into hiding, Anne viewed her parents as any adolescent does; those caregivers that provide the essential things she needed to survive. She also considered the authority that her parents represented her life well. While in hiding she started getting attitude with her mother and getting closer with her father. She treated her father good and her mother bad.

Anne Frank was a German Jew forced to go into hiding with her family and another during World War II and the HOlocaust. Being Jewish in that time she put her and her family in danger constantly. A month before she went into hiding, Anne was a happy, pretty, and bright girl despite her circumstances. On her 13th birthday (a month before they went into hiding) she got a many gifts but the one that stuck out to her was a diary. Her father Otto Frank was a successful, Jewish businessman, who also seemed to understand Anne better than anyone else. Otto married her mother, Edith Frank 1925. One year later Margot, her older sister, was born. Three years after that in 1929 Anne was
Anne Frank had trouble with her parents but she also had some things she could compare both parents. For instance they both did not care whether her reports were good or bad as long as she was well and happy. They both made her mad at times and they are both her parents whether she likes it or not. Each parent had their own way of viewing Anne and each one of them cared for Anne at least a little. It also seemed like they each had a favorite child Anne’s mummy had Margot as a Favorite it seemed and it also seemed as if Anne’s Father’s favorite was Anne.
Anne and Mr. Frank have a great father relationship. They get along well. Mr. Frank just wants her to be herself. But they have a very close bond. Anne is closer to him than she is to her mother.
Anne Frank, the Diary of a Young Girl should be used as a social studies book for multiple different reasons. For example, even though Anne is in hiding, she still is able to talk about the war and what is happening outside of the annex. On Friday, 9 June, 1944, Anne talks about the war by saying, “Super News of the invasion. The Allies have taken Bayeux, a small village on the French coast, and are now fighting for Caen”. On Tuesday, 6 June, 1944, the only thing Anne is talking about in this entry is D-day, a very important event in WWII. In Anne’s Wednesday, 13 January, 1943, she says, “And every night hundreds of planes fly over Holland and go to German towns… and every hour hundreds and thousand of people are killed in Russia and Africa…
