Use single-subject experimental designs (e.g. reversal, multiple baseline, multielement, changing criterion) (D5)
Module 4 introduced the concepts of D5, reversal (ABAB) design, multiple baseline, multi-element/alternating treatments design, and changing criterion design. During this module, we focused on multiple baseline and reversal ABAB designs. During a reversal (ABAB) design, the baseline conditions (A) and intervention conditions (B) are reversed with the goal of strengthening experimental control. Experimental control is demonstrated when there is a change
in the dependent variable because of the independent variable, or the behavior changes once the intervention is introduced. Reversal designs are single-subject designs that can help with demonstrating a functional relation between an intervention and a behavior, (Ledford & Gast).
During this module, we not only had to learn how to read a reversal design when picking a journal article, we also had to construct our own reversal graph that showed a functional relation between the intervention and behavior. By constructing our own graphs as well as identifying the graphs in other journal articles, helped us understand the reversal and multiple baseline design. References

In testing for the presence of lead(II) ions in solution, Jamaal adds a solution of
sodium nitrate. What will be the conclusion of the test if no precipitate forms?
Lead(II) ions are not present in solution.
Lead(II) ions are present in the solution.
Lead(II) ions are present, but in a very small concentration.
More sodium nitrate solution needs to be added before a conclusion can be
made.
No conclusion can be made in this test.

a. Given the diameter of the asteroid to be (8.50x10^0) km and the density of the
asteroid to be (2.1100x10^0) g/cm, calculate the total mass of the asteroid.
Remember to round your answer to the correct number of significant figures
Note: The answer is assumed to be reduced to the highest power possible.(This
means that everything is in scientific notation)
When entering units for the answer, use the symbol for the unit, and if the unit has
an exponent, enter the exponent as a carat(^). For example, grams would be "g" and,
the unit grams per centimeter squared would look like, g/cm^2.

What is the main difference between a qualitative analysis and a quantitative
analysis of a solution?
The two must be done independently of each other, as they are completely
unlike.
A qualitative analysis must always be done before a quantitative analysis.
A quantitative analysis must always be done before a qualitative analysis.
A qualitative analysis identifies the type of ion in solution and the quantitative
analysis will determine how much of this ion is present.

O THERMOCHEMISTRY
Understanding the definitions of heat and work
A mixture of gaseous reactants is put into a cylinder, where a chemical reaction turns them into gaseous products. The
cylinder has a piston that moves in or out, as necessary, to keep a constant pressure on the mixture of 1 atm. The
cylinder is also submerged in a large insulated water bath. (See sketch at right.)
From previous experiments, this chemical reaction is known to release 141. kJ of energy.
The position of the piston is monitored, and it is determined from this data that the piston does 358. kJ of work on the
system during the reaction.

What will be the conclusion of the test if no precipitate forms? Lead(II) ions are not present in solution. Lead(II) ions are present in the solution. Lead(II) ions are present, but in a very small concentration. More sodium nitrate solution needs to be added before a conclusion can be made. No conclusion can be made in this test. 围 1 11:14arrow_forwardFile Edit View History Bookmarks Profiles Tab Window Help "ome N Watch Gilmo x E dt8827@unc x a Module 11 F X My Wellness X A ALEKS - Dav X A ALEKS - Rey x A www-awu.aleks.com/alekscgi/x/lsl.exe/1o_u-IgNslkr7j8P3jH-IvdWKW_BBZZI6tTytly4Fcfu6zOtof80MM9sLGhaxz6nr O Spotify Web Playe.. Given the diameter of the asteroid to be (8.50x10^0) km and the density of the asteroid to be (2.1100x10^0) g/cm, calculate the total mass of the asteroid. Remember to round your answer to the correct number of significant figures Note: The answer is assumed to be reduced to the highest power possible.(This means that everything is in scientific notation) When entering units for the answer, use the symbol for the unit, and if the unit has an exponent, enter the exponent as a carat(^). For example, grams would be "g" and, the unit grams per centimeter squared would look like, g/cm^2. Note: Your answer is assumed to be reduced to the highest power possible. The two must be done independently of each other, as they are completely unlike. A qualitative analysis must always be done before a quantitative analysis. A quantitative analysis must always be done before a qualitative analysis. A qualitative analysis identifies the type of ion in solution and the quantitative analysis will determine how much of this ion is present.
