DAD 220 Module Four Major Activity Database Documentation Robert Adams
Complete these steps as you work through the directions for this activity. Replace the bracketed text
with your screenshots and brief explanations of the work they capture. Each screenshot and its
explanation should be sized to approximately one quarter of the page, with the description written
below the screenshot. Follow these rules for each of the prompts and questions below. Review the
example document for assistance.
Follow Steps 1 through 4 from the Module Three Major Activity
only
to generate tables for this
assignment.
1.
Import
the
data
from each file
into tables.
A.
Use the import utility of your database program to load the data from each file into the
table of the same name. You’ll perform this step three times, once for each table.
B.
Provide the SQL commands you ran against MySQL to complete this successfully in your
answer.
mysql
use QuantigrationRMA;
LOAD DATA INFILE '/home/codio/workspace/customers.csv' INTO TABLE Customers FIELDS
TERMINATED BY ','
ENCLOSED BY '"' LINES TERMINATED BY '\n' IGNORE 1 ROWS;
LOAD DATA INFILE '/home/codio/workspace/orders.csv' INTO TABLE Orders FIELDS TERMINATED
BY ','
ENCLOSED BY '"' LINES TERMINATED BY '\n' IGNORE 1 ROWS;
LOAD DATA INFILE '/home/codio/workspace/rma.csv' INTO TABLE RMA FIELDS TERMINATED BY
','
ENCLOSED BY '"' LINES TERMINATED BY '\n' IGNORE 1 ROWS;
2.
Write basic queries
against imported tables to organize and analyze targeted data
.
3.
For each query, include a screenshot of the query and its output. You should also include a 1- to
3-sentence description of the output.
A.
Write an SQL query that returns the count of orders for customers located only in the
city of Framingham, Massachusetts.
i.
How many records were returned? 505 records were returned.
SELECT * FROM Customers INNER JOIN Orders On Orders.CustomerID =
Customers.CustomerID WHERE City = 'Framingham' AND State = 'Massachusetts';
This query shows the count of orders for customers at the bottom of the output who are
located only in the city of Framingham, Massachusetts by using the WHERE clause, as
well as displaying the record details by using an inner join between the Customers and
Orders tables.
B.
Write an SQL query to select all of the customers located in the state of Massachusetts.
i.
Use a WHERE clause to limit the number of records in the Customers table to
only those that are located in Massachusetts.
ii.
Record an answer to the following question: How many records were returned?
982 records were returned.
SELECT * FROM Customers WHERE State = 'Massachusetts';
This query uses the WHERE clause to show all the customers who are located in the
state of Massachusetts.
C.
Write an SQL query to insert four new records into the Orders and Customers tables
using the following data:
i.

A friend of yours went panning for gold last weekend and found a nugget
that appears to be gold. With your newfound scientific prowess, you set out
to determine if it is really gold. Your tests show that the nugget has a mass
of 7.6 g. Immersing the nugget in water raised the volume from 7.22 mL to
8.06 mL. The density of gold is 19.32 g/cm3. What will you tell your friend?

You are working for SETI, the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence. One day, you receive a radio communication from an alien intelligence. Although you cannot understand their language, they have included some photos from an ILove Lucy episode. The photos allow you to determine that it is the episode in which Lucy makes a television commercial on Vitameatavegamin. This episode first aired on CBS on May 5, 1952. Before running to your supervisor to tell him the news, you quickly determine how far away in light-years the alien civilization is.

In cascade impaction, the particles are passed by mechanical shaking through a series of sieves. Bulk powders are dispensed in individual doses. When making powders there is a manufacturing expense in individual wrapping of powder doses Powders packed are usually not potent Granules are intended for use with potent drugs because of inherent error Bulkiness decrease with increase in particle size Low angle of repose poorly flow and has high bulk density
