Modulo 1: Introduccion a las ciencias
Jefreisy L. Duran
EMME1021
Profa. Carmen Sanchez

Mr. Johnson is admitted to room 337 in an acute care facility. The nurse interviews the client to
determine the history of this illness, health history, and family history. The nurse then performs
the head-to-toe physical assessment. Mr. Johnson has complained of acute leg pain. The nurse
collects further data specifically regarding Mr. Johnson's leg pain.
The nurse checks Mr. Johnson's admission orders and notes medication is ordered as needed for
leg pain.
The nurse returns to Mr. Johnson's room with his pain medication…

O The body shape causes the reaction force from the water to affect only the tail fin which is a larger area on the fish.
O The body shape causes the reaction force from the water to affect the head which is a smaller area on the fish.

Students have been studying cellular respiration in their biology class and are working on a computer simulation that allows them to test the effects of several variables on the products of
respiration. In one simulation, they are asked to change the initial concentrations of several gases, one at a time, to see the impact on ATP production in a muscle cell.
If the students begin by removing oxygen from the muscle cell, what should they predict will occur?
O The cell will produce more ATP because oxygen inhibits ATP production in the mitochondria.
O The cell will produce no ATP at all since oxygen is critical to ATP production.

Who, Moi? Exploring the Fit Between Celebrity
Spokescharacters and Luxury Brands
Kim Sheehan
University of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon, USA
ABSTRACT
Brands use spokescharacters like Hello Kitty and Miss Piggy to successfully
market products like candy, cereal, and fast food to both adults and chil-
dren. Recently, advertisers and brands began using spokescharacters to
promote luxury products like jewelry, handbags, and makeup to adult
women, perhaps to tap into women's nostalgic feelings about these char
acters from childhood. This study examines whether traditional Match Up
perspectives apply to celebrity spokescharacters for luxury brands, and
whether women's proneness to nostalgia affected brand perceptions.
Women assessed two popular spokescharacters (Miss Piggy and…
